Special construction for extreme temperature requirements

MENZEL received the order for the following problematic: three 460 V motors operate a wood-shredder, in mounting V6 (shaft upwards). Due to the temperature at the upper bearings, motors from other manufactures failed regularly.
The solution: To control this problem, on the one hand a special bearing with special grease for 200°C operating temperature were installed, on the other hand, a cooling air tube was used to cool the A-side bearing. Because the motors have been completely installed in the machine, all local lubrication circuit points, and all temperature sensors are made to the fan cover of the B-side end.
