Menzel received an order for the production of two 6300 V slip ring motors which had to be interchangeable with the prior Siemens slip ring motors that were running in a water pumping station. Under the consideration of all mechanical and electrical characteristics as well as the customers experience with the old motors Menzel was able to include some useful upgrades to the performance and reliability of the two new high voltage drives.
