Compatible spare motor in historical design
The construction of compatible spare motors in historical design is a genuine craftsmanship and has been an integral part of our product range for years. As a backup unit for an age-worn fan drive in a cement plant, Menzel constructed a 3 phase slip ring induction motor in a design no longer common in Europe today.
The unusual order came from a customer from Jordan, who required a completely electrically and mechanically compatible spare motor to replace an aged motor, which ran unsatisfactorily over time. Menzel delivered an 8-pole motor with a performance of 600 kW, rated voltage of 6000 V and speed of 740 min-1 in the requested design, thus ensuring the continued operation of an on-site ventilator.
Fast delivery of tailor-made motors
As a manufacturer of electrical motors, specializing in fast delivery of tailor-made motors, Menzel offers comprehensive motor-related services around the world. We can even meet extraordinary special motor requests within a very short time. Like in this case of a cement plant, we can copy an old, now uncommon type of construction and build your motor in outdated types of construction.
In addition to this motor, the Berlin-based company delivered a second, smaller squirrel cage motor with 315 kW performance and a speed of 992 min-1 in a compact, modern design for a different application in the same cement plant.
