Topping-out ceremony at MENZEL's new motor plant

On December 16th we celebrated the topping-out ceremony for our new headquarters in Hennigsdorf near Berlin with the entire staff. The new building increases the capacity for MENZEL as a globally operating family business to manufacture and test increasingly large and heavy motors/drive systems.

This new modern electric motor factory with approx. 8,500 m² of production area and spacious offices will also feature a motor hall for our unique stock of large electric motors, being built on a 24,000 m² site.

Under the management of Mathis Menzel, a third generation member to lead the family business, MENZEL has experienced significant growth in recent years. The new facility will enable an optimisation of all production processes and thus a higher throughput in the future. Crane capacities will be significantly increased in order to meet customer demand from all industries for ever larger, customised and bespoke electric motors.

Skilled workers for the region - new plant brings new opportunities

Over the next few years, MENZEL will create numerous additional jobs for the region. Our new electric motor plant is the chance for all electronics technicians who are looking for a new professional challenge or for pupils who are interested in an apprenticeship as electronics technician for machines and drive technology in Hennigsdorf.

The shell of the building is complete - and we celebrated!

On December 16th, in freezing temperatures, all employees celebrated the completion of the building shell. There was a traditional topping-out wreath and a joyful topping-out speech by an employee journeyman craftsman. In addition, the Vollack Group, responsible for the planning and construction of the new motor plant, gave guided tours of the building under construction. Our colleagues were able to warm up and fortify themselves with winter burgers, mulled wine and gingerbread hearts, which were given to the entire MENZEL staff as a Christmas surprise.
