New motor plant inaugurated!

Menzel Elektromotoren had already put its new headquarters into operation on 1 January 2024 after a construction period of just 17 months. By then, our long-established company had successfully relocated all of its machines, tools and, above all, all of its employees from Berlin to Hennigsdorf. This was because the old premises were literally bursting at the seams. The newly built motor plant in Hennigsdorf now covers 24,000 square metres and takes production conditions to the next level. The excellent machine equipment, spacious storage areas and paint shops, various heavy-duty cranes and modern machine testing facilities all contribute to this goal. There is also room for more staff at the new site: the workforce can grow by 50% in the new premises.

We are the newcomers - and have long since arrived!

It is all the more pleasing that the first employees from the region can already call themselves ‘Menzelians’. It is also great that all regional partners on site have made and continue to make it as easy as possible for MENZEL to arrive.

The fact that we are very welcome was emphasised once again by the speakers on the day of the inauguration ceremony. In addition to Mathis Menzel, who is the third generation to run the business together with Dirk Achhammer, the State Secretary of the State of Brandenburg, Dr Benjamin Grimm, and the Mayor of Hennigsdorf, Thomas Günther, had words of celebration and appreciation for our family business.

Celebrating properly also needs to be mastered

In addition to the speeches, factory tours by Mathis Menzel himself and intensive discussions, one thing was done above all on the day: a proper celebration! The employees, their families and friends, business partners from all over the world and companies from the immediate neighbourhood got to chat over burgers and crepes and a cold drink or two - or even while watching graffiti artist Christopher Wehr, who created a magnificent work of art in one of the company's own paint booths during the course of the day. The personal greetings from our guests also found an honourable place here. Even the youngest MENZEL fans got their fun with the bright yellow bouncy castle and a balloon artist who could really do anything - except build functional electric motors.
