Being in dialogue is important to us
It is also important to us to strengthen the transfer of knowledge within our company and also within the industry. That is why we have been sharing our experience for years, e.g. in the form of lectures or professional articles, within various industry networks, but especially in the globally represented company network EASA.
We are currently in the process of creating further internal formats to promote exchange among ourselves and to allow as many employees as possible to participate in small and large events in the company. Among other things, we have introduced the "Menzel Moments": Once a quarter, people gather in front of the new poster edition of the "Moments" with snapshots of project successes, greetings from our locations abroad or a great team moment.
Even though we colleagues have a "short line" to each other - here we completely fulfil the cliché of a family business with flat hierarchies, appropriate pragmatism and direct interaction - the employees are also invited to fill out an anonymous employee survey every year. In this survey, topics can be addressed that might otherwise go unnoticed. In addition, Menzelians come together in staff meetings and at company parties.

Qualified team
We strive for the highest level of quality, flexibility and reliability, relying on the dedicated, efficient drive of all our employees. At the same time, we take all necessary measures for professional qualification as well as for the protection of employee health and safety. We therefore work together with relevant partners and institutions to train the entire workforce on the latest legal regulations, internal and external guidelines as well as potential hazards and appropriate protective measures at work.
Digitalisation as an opportunity
We were and are very open to new digital solutions. This is why we can now call ourselves pioneers in the SME sector when it comes to the digitalisation of our project and production processes. In addition, our engineers and technicians have access to state-of-the-art software programmes that support them in the calculation and planning of individual engines.
Certified product quality
MENZEL works and manufactures according to the strictest quality specifications and all national and international standards and guidelines.
MENZEL has a quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and is regularly audited and certified by the certification body of TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH.
In addition, we are certified by Bureau Veritas (BV) Marine & Offshore - one of the world's leading classification societies for ships and offshore installations - and have many other special approvals.
Environmentally friendly production
MENZEL does not take any avoidable risks for the environment and the health of customers, suppliers and employees. Our respectful and resource-saving approach to the environment applies not only to the manufacture of our products, but also to each individual workplace and work step. We are thus committed to consistent compliance with all applicable laws and regulations on environmental protection and resource conservation.
Good relations
In the interest of a long-term business relationship, we ensure that our cooperation with customers, suppliers and partners is fair and solution-oriented. We are aware of our corporate responsibility and place more value on a sustainable and good business relationship than on a one-off deal. For our customers, we always see ourselves as a solution provider: We analyse the need, advise and propose the best solution from a technical and practical point of view. This can mean, for example, replacing two motors with just one more powerful one.
Globally on the move, regionally firmly anchored
MENZEL employs people from over 20 nations - including Egypt, China, France, Guinea, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, Italy, Spain and many more. This internationality is also reflected in our customer base: MENZEL supplies industrial plants on all continents with the best motor solution. We are very proud of our internationality and global reach. At the same time, the company is firmly linked to the Berlin-Brandenburg region, where the founding family comes from and where our headquarters are located. At the beginning of 2024, we moved our headquarters to a completely new motor plant in Hennigsdorf near Berlin, where we are creating many more jobs for the region.
Promoting young talent
For decades, we have also been a proud training employer for apprentices in electrical engineering and recruit our junior staff from surrounding districts. To this end, we cooperate with local schools and technical colleges as well as with the Chamber of Crafts. To name just one of many activities: Only recently, as part of the state-supported project "O Ja! Orientation Year" project, we gave technically interested school leavers an insight into our factory and answered their questions. Of course, we are particularly keen to get young people from the region interested in the occupational fields in our company - and to show them at an early stage what MENZEL has to offer.
So now we have come full circle to this article, which hopefully achieved its goal and showed "how great we are". But now let's get back to work quickly before we take off.
