Menzel auxiliary transporter on the way to the Ukrainian border
With incredible dynamism and solidarity, our Berlin colleagues organized a Menzel transporter packed with warm clothing, blankets, food and daily needs within just a few hours yesterday.
With incredible dynamism and solidarity, our Berlin colleagues organized a Menzel transporter packed with warm clothing, blankets, food and daily needs within just a few hours yesterday. In the evening, the car went on its way to the Polish-Ukrainian border to help the war refugees there with the essentials. The team from our subsidiary in Peine also sent one of their Pawils vans, filled to the top with donations, towards the border.
The call to help came directly from the team. The willingness to help was enormous, even though many of our colleagues were already involved privately and had already taken part in many other initiatives that had been set up at short notice. Within one day bags and suitcases filled with warm clothing and boxes full of food and hygiene items piled up in the spontaneously set up collection point in a colleague's office.
Now we're keeping our fingers crossed that the transporters reach the border without any problems and that they reach the kids and families there quickly. At the same time, our thoughts and concerns are with all the millions of people who are going through days of unimaginable fear in the war zones and at the mercy of this human catastrophe.
