Application process for an apprenticeship with MENZEL
Your application for an apprenticeship as an electronics technician for motor and drive technology with us should be as complete as possible so we can get a picture of you. Ideally, use our application checklist. Your application documents can be sent either by post or email. You will receive confirmation of receipt as soon as your documents have arrived.
If your application is good enough, we will invite you to a personal interview in our electric motors plant. This is where we find out more about you, your knowledge, and your abilities, and show you your potential new working environment. We will get back to you a few days after the interview and let you know of our decision. Hopefully we will be able to greet you as a member of our MENZEL team!

The job as an electronics specialist in motor and drive technology
The job as an electronics specialist in motor and drive technology is very complex. The tasks generally include assembly, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical motors and drive systems. Electric motors for large industrial plants are built at MENZEL. Our electronics specialists for motor and drive technology produce windings and assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic motor components. Alongside this, they also carry out diagnostics and motor tests.
The fields of activity are therefore extremely varied. This is why the apprenticeship is longer compared to other occupations. However, this means you can develop very well as an electronics specialist for motor and drive technology. This means that trips to launches, whether domestic or international, are not unusual. Ultimately, MENZEL motors are found all over the world - from Peru to South Africa, from Sweden to Malaysia. Knowledge of English is therefore an advantage, but not a prerequisite for a job as an electronics specialist for motor and drive technology.
We train with the objective of recruitment after successful completion. We give priority to applicants with strong marks in mathematical / scientific subjects (min. 3) and also have interest in technical and manual work.
